报告题目：Anticipation-Based Autonomous Platoon Control Strategy

Abstract: Safety of the car following (CF) primarily relies on the driver’s prediction of the leading vehicle’s actions. The follower vehicle should keep a safe headway distance, monitor the rate of approaching, and anticipate the action of the lead vehicle. In this talk I will report my research group’s latest research progress on autonomous vehicles (AVs) control, i.e., the headway and optimal velocity tracking of AVs considering their predictive driving for the stability and integrity of spatial vehicle formation in the platoon. First, the human-like anticipation car-following model is used for modeling the autonomous system. Second, an adaptive radial basis function neural network (ARBF-NN)-based sliding mode control (SMC) is proposed for the control purpose. The control objective is to regulate traffic perturbation during entire road operations. In addition, I will summarize other ongoing projects.

杨景周教授简介

       杨景周博士现就职于美国德克萨斯理工大学,机械工程系终身正教授，美国机械工程师协会(ASME)会士，国际汽车协会(SAE)会士，美国电气和电子工程师协会(IEEE)高级会员,富布莱特学者。主要从事数字化人体建模与仿真及应用，人机工程，生物力学，新型医学装置设计理论、机械系统动力学、健康保护工程、虚拟现实技术、基于自动驾驶的驾驶员行为模拟及汽车动力学仿真技术的研究。曾任职于清华大学汽车工程系，美国依阿华大学(University of Iowa) CAD 中心，副研究员，兼助理教授。先后获得美国政府尖端科技奖，美国汽车工程师协会(SAE) Arch T. Colwell Merit 奖及美国机械工程师协会(ASME)最佳论文奖，得克萨斯理工大学工学院科研优秀奖,校友新教授奖, 得克萨斯理工大学校董事杰出科研奖,美国空军暑期研究员奖，富布莱特学者等。现兼任国际杂志 IEEE Transaction on Human-Machine Systems 副主编、 ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics 副主编、 International Journal of Human Factors Modelling and Simulation 副 主 编、Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing and Service Industries 副主编、Journal of Mechanics in Medicine and Biology 副主编、Ergonomics in Design 副主编、International Journal of Robotics and Automation 副主编、International Journal of Vehicle Autonomous Systems 和 International Journal of Vehicle Design 客座主编、Automotive Innovation、International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics 编委。一直为工程领域超过 70 个国际期刊和会议审稿。是美国国家自然科学基金,美国航空航天局，以色列科委，瑞士国家基金，加拿大国家基金等评委。共发表近 400 篇学术论文（国际期刊论文210 篇，国际会议论文 199 篇，编集期刊 5 期，专著 27 章，研究报告 17 份)。其中 SCI 210 篇，EI 240 篇。论文引用近 7,000 次。主持了美国自然科学基金(NSF)、美国国家职业安全及健康研究所(NIOSH)、美国国家标准与技术局(NIST)、美国国家航空航天局(NASA)、美国国防部(DOD)、美国能源部(DOE)、本田美国研究发展中心(HONDA R&D Americas)、卡特比勒公司(Caterpillar)等超过六百万美元科研经费。作为主要完成者参与了美国坦克和汽车军队命令(US Army TACOM)、美国陆军士兵系统中心(US Army Natick Center)、美国三大汽车(US CAR-GM、Ford、Chrysler)项目共一千二百万美元科研经费。
